PAVILION
//2014
At the beginning my thrid academic year, my form group was fortunate enough to have a creative residency with AKT II Structural and Civil Engineers and to personally work with Hanif Kara. This included building a pavillion at the front of our university that showcased a timber pavillion that was made up of individual timber modeules joined together. It also had fabric stretched and weaved within the self supporting structure. This project started as a design charette within our form group and the winning design incorperated constructive feedback from all the other groups and elements from each design. After the pavillion was built, we got feedback frome tutors and architects such as Will Alsop. Kara also gave us feedback saying what he thought that good and the bad points were and what we could have done to improve the structure.
